LG’s G Flex2 hits stores next month

As unusual as it is, we quite like LG’s G Flex2 for its pretty design, performance, camera and quick charging battery. The banana-shaped phone is now on sale in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Germany and the U.K while its said to reach us in April.

The G Flex2 is nearly everything the original should have been. Now in its second generation, LG’s curved flagship has a smaller 5.5-inch screen, making it easier to use with one hand. (The higher-resolution panel is a step up, too.) Also, while the Flex always had a self-healing shell that could recover from small scratches, the new version can bounce back in mere seconds, as opposed to minutes. On the inside, meanwhile, it brings fresh internals, allowing for even faster performance and longer battery life. Even if you think the curved screen is a gimmick, this is still a solid phone in its own right. Our main complaint: LG’s Android skin is a little overbearing, and doesn’t include some stock features in Android Lollipop.

Key specs: 5.5-inch (1,920 x 1,080) P-OLED display, 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810, 13MP rear/2.1MP front cameras, 32GB expandable storage, Android 5.0
