Ntsiki Mazwai experience

The South African State Theatre in association with Black Eagle Sound presents the Night of the poets show live and raw on Wednesdays, 26 October 2011 at 20:00 at the Rendezvous Theatre, to prolong and celebrate the queens of poetry as well as women writers in general.

Personally for Ntsiki, this is a moment for her to reconcile all her talents as a performance artist. Annually this talented and outspoken Miss Mazwai produces an evening where she shows her audience how far along she has come on her artistic journey. This is one of those shows. Promising a night of inspiration, fun and laughter, Ntsiki Mazwai is ready to deliver to her audience an interesting and emotive engagement with the current issues of our time. Ntsiki’s (aka The Street Queen) work explores the themes of love, social politics, and gender based violence.

For the editor:
The Night of poets is a traditional live poetry presentation show that creates a platform for emerging and professional poets to share the stage and their exciting poetic materials accompanied by reggae beats to celebrate South Africa’s arts, culture and heritage. This show is proudly brought to you by the South African State Theatre and Black Eagle Sound
