Megaview awarded to install HD displays at these major cricket stadia

Sports arenas all around the world are known in part for their large screens that make it easy for fans to keep up with the action. Megaview, the a leader in the LED rental market since its inception in 2000, has announced that it has been awarded the contract to provide state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary LED big screens at four of the major cricket stadia in SA; Bidvest Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, PPC Newlands, Cape Town, SuperSport Park, Centurion and St George`s Park, Port Elizabeth.

The gigantic display screen will have an area of 200 square meters. Measurements will be 26m wide x 8m high. Megaview says that the viewing angles from the screen will be wide enough that anyone in the stadium will be able to watch.

The massive structure weighs in at 6,5 tons. Megaview says that each of the four fully HD screens are designed and produced to withstand all weather conditions,

The HD screens will allow the operators of the screen to show replays, image close-ups, a giant video screen, billboard, scoreboard and also for concerts and events hosted in stadia, enhancing the fan’s overall experience. The screen will also support split-levels with various content including advertisement and recorded programming. If an 80-inch HD monitor costs tens of thousands of rands, we can only imagine how expensive this is.
