No EA Sports’ 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One

As is the norm every other four years, the biggest football competition is about to take place. And to celebrate this year’s tournament, EA sports is releasing a title to give fans a chance to virtually experience the World Cup on gaming consoles.

According to Engadget, the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil game will only be available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles with Mat Prior, Lead Producer at EA claiming that his team is putting in their best efforts in “building the higest quality game for x360 and PS3 as they could”.

The news might disappoint the hardcore football folk as they were looking forward to playing this years’ World Cup on their shiny new Xbox One or PS4. On the bright (cloudy rather) side, the 2014 FIFA WC Brazil game will be sold as a full, stand alone game in May for about R600 if the current exchange rate allows

Haha! I doubt it’ll sell well in SA (still limited, poor marketing)
