For the first time ever, we’ll be covering the really awesome gaming expo (rAge) this coming weekend. Here’s what you can expect from the expo this year:
PlayStation fans pay attention … the good news is that the new PS4 will be unveiled on the Sony PlayStation® stand! Not only will you get your hands-on on the PS4, but the Microsoft team wll be there to present their Xbox one. Both consoles are expected to launch just in time for Christmas in SA.
*Update: PS4 will launch on December 06 in South Africa. RRP not announced yet.
PlayStation will also be showcasing a host of scorching new titles like: BEYOND: Two Souls, The Invizimals and Tearaway, so don’t miss out. And for a game so big it has its own stand, make sure you experience GT6. New Warner games on display will include Lego® Marvel Super Heroes™ and the much anticipated Batman: Arkam Origins. Oh, and don’t miss a visit to the gaming authorities – the Megarom stand. They’ll be showcasing a number of incredible new games to feed your fetish. Think NBA, WWE, Assassin’s Creed, F1, The Crew and Watchdogs (to name a handful)…
Intel VVIP Seed experience
Its only fitting that Intel will be hosting selected guests in their VVIP lounge where attendees will get to play with some of the latest gadgets on the market. Our bet on how you can get your hands on access to this lounge would be to stalk Intel’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
R100 000 Cash Prize
Entelect Software and NAG Magazine will be hosting the Entelect 100K Challenge – a gaming tournament that will test your artificial intelligence-coding skills for the R100 000 cash prize. While entries to this competition have long closed on 2 September, you can watch the finals in envy live at rAge.
For that matter, where else will you find all of the best computing, gaming and technology retailers in one round dome? You know, guys like Dark Carnival retailers, HP Networking, Intel, Smallville Comics, Corex, Afrihost, the Mede8er, Titan-Ice computers, Z-Stylofox Labs (South African game designers), and MANY more. rAge takes place from 04-06 October 2013 at the Coca-Cola Dome, Northgate. Day ticket retails at R70 while the weekend pass is at R120 of course we’ll be there.
