Nokia Lumia 720 hits local market, superhero style



Although the Nokia Lumia 720 was first introduced to us at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the 4.3-inch superman has finally hit SA shores sporting a 6.7-megapixel, with a display resolution of 800 x 480 (WVGA), 217 ppi, ClearBlack, Orientation sensor, High brightness mode, Sunlight readability enhancements, Color boosting, Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2, Ambient light sensor and Sculptured Glass.

All of these amazing screen specs are run by a Dual Core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 512MB of RAM and 8GB mass memory. Memory is expandable by a microSD card, SkyDrive and cloud storge.

Connectivity on the 720 comes easy with the standard 3.5mm headphone jack placed at the top of the device, it comes standard with Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi/LAN (IEEE) and NFC capabilities. Powered by a 2000mAh battery.

The Lumia 720 bundle (In addition to the phone, you also get the wireless charging shell and wireless charging plate in box for free) will be available at Vodacom on prepaid for a recommended retail price of R5, 399, as well as on a R299 Smart S contract (with 75 Anytime minutes, 200 SMSs & 200 MB Data). An additional “Buy Back “ option will enable consumers to return their Nokia N8 smartphone and get the Nokia Lumia 720 at R269 per month on the Smart S contract
