Windows Phone rolls out 7.8 update

Finnish mobile giant Nokia announced the roll out of upgrades to their Windows Phone 7.5 software to that of 7.8

The upgrade, scheduled for anytime during this month (February) will see users being prompt via a message on their screen to update their software. Updates can be done by connecting your Lumia device to your PC via the Zune suite app or the Windows Phone app for Mac.

Users can look forward to a ‘revamped’ Start screen and the ability to re-size tiles.

Update notifications will begin to appear for Nokia Lumia 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900 with a stream of new features introduced to Nokia Lumia. These include Internet sharing, Bluetooth sharing, imaging enhancements like Camera Extras, and the release of apps such as Contact Share, Play To and Nokia City Lens.
