Many would think that thanks to the new A3, only then did Audi manage to log record sales for 2012. When in fact its thanks to the Q3 which, according to Luca de Meo, Audi AG Sales and Marketing member, has helped the entire Audi SUV family become a mainstay of its success, now accounting for one-quarter of all deliveries for the first time.
In South Africa, Audi recorded a staggering 16, 743 units sold which accounts to 15,5% more than the previous year (2011).
If you thought 2012 was good, brace yourself for an even better 2013 as product innovations will include the exciting re-introduction of the allroad concept to South Africa in the form of the Audi A4 allroad; the Audi Q5 product improvement; Audi R8 product improvement as well as additional engines to the TT and A7 Sportback model ranges. The Audi A3 Sportback will be a new product introduction halfway through the year, with the S3 range following later in the year.
“This year promises to be yet another exciting year for the Audi brand with numerous product innovations and new introductions.” said Ryan Searl, Head of Audi South Africa.
2013 is also considered to be a sporty year for Audi as we have new RS models such as the RS4 Avant ad RS5 Cabriolet to look forward to. The RS7 which was revealed at the Detroit motor show just last night will also be introduced at the end of this year.
“We are very pleased with our full-year 2012 sales performance and plan to continue the momentum into 2013,” concluded Searl.
