Exactly 8 months ago, we reported on how the Ekhateni twins  had their murder charges dropped but it seems like the cloud hovering over these brothers just keeps getting heavier.

On Monday, 22 October, Keabecoe Lekone and Kegomodicoe Lekone were found guilty of corruption, fraud (8 years) and money (6 years) laundering said Justice Albert Kruger. This, however makes part of a string of allegations where ex-(Mangaung)municipality speaker Zongezile Zumane and his former personal assistant, Evodia Kok, had looted the local authority in tender irregularities.

The convicted are expected to submit their mitigation and ask for bail pending appeals on Monday. The state was represented by advocate Johan Dynesschen while the accused were represented by advocates Johan Nel, Pieter Nel and Ntsikelelo Majola.
