SAfrica Vibe Media bagged its first account, which is handling all Digital channels for Macufe (Mangaung Cultural Festival) for the terms 2011 until 2013.
SAfrica Vibe (pronounced: South Africa Vibe) Media was founded in July 2010 and started trading in December 2011 as a full-service Digital Marketing agency based in Welkom and Bloemfontein.
With our team’s knowledge and insight of Macufe’s target market will has insured that that account reaches optimum exposure and is highly perceived.
We used social networking sites Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare places and e-newsletters to offer visitors special and exclusive info, ticket giveaways and interviews with artists billed to perform at the 2-week long event.
On Facebook, this is saw engaging with fans on regards with the line-up. A tab was created which led fans like the artist they look forward to seeing the most, or the ones they would prefer to see. Another tab was created where visitors could view past years’ video’s, pictures and interviews. Due to limited hospitality and accommodation shortages, a third tab was created where Bloemfontein residents could easily post vacant or available accommodation they had for visitors.
Visitors could also view and get in contact with the advertisers. However, this is under own risk as Macufe and SAfrica Vibe Media only offer a platform where ‘sellers’ (landlords) advertise their properties and/or vacant spaces. Macufe and SAfrica Vibe accept no liability nor are they to be held responsible for any fraudulent or unsuccessful transactions between the advertiser (landlord or ‘seller’) and buyer.
Along with this, various post on Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare places were publish to keep the conversation going among visitors. With 1 week before the event, Macufe 2012 Facebook page had more than 6600 fans while twitter had 1010 followers.
