Revealed yesterday is a study by Tom Tom through YouGov conducted in 21 countries on when and where holidaymakers are likely to spend their upcoming holidays. The online study conducted on 522 adults (over 18’s) in South Africa, 50% those indicated that they would choose a Tropical Island Holiday over a Safari, Mountain Resort or Cruise. Travelling by car remains the main means of reaching a destination with 60% finding the mobility and freedom of having their own car a necessity whereas 38% mentioned the luxury of travelling by plane.
